Functions:

The main functions of the Center for High Technology Development (HTD) are to (1)- manage Technology Pilot Zones and Technology Research and Development (R&D) Zones under Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; and (2)- carry out activities of technical assistances, incubation, and R&D of high technology.

Tasks:

a)  To manage, exploit, arrange the implementation of  infrastructure development assignments for Technology Zone of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology;

b) To carry out activities of high technology research, incubation, improvement and development; to support to activities of pilot production and technological development for the units located in the Technology Zone;

 c) To research, design, fabricate science - technology devices and other technology products; to test materials serving high technology R&D activities;

d)  To carry out information dissemination activities on technologies;

đ)  To carry out activities of science and technology services, consultancies, development and application according to the regulations of the State and the Academy;

e) To assist the President of Academy to appraise technologies, or to participate in the technology appraisal at the Technology Zone;

g) To take part in trainings on high-level technologies according to advanced technology directions to be implemented in the Technology Zones;

h) To implement international co-operation on science-technology research and application according to the regulations of the State and the Academy;

i) To manage organization, apparatus; to manage and use organization’s staffs according to the regulations of the State and the Academy;

k) To manage finance and assets of the organization according to the regulations of the State and the Academy;

l) To implement other tasks to be assigned by the President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
